Wow, I can’t believe it’s been almost a year since my last update. A lot has happened! And I don’t even feel like I have much to contribute to this blog anymore.
My hysterectomy has completely changed my life (for the better!) and I’m not longer stuck on the couch or in bed with the heating pad all the time anymore. That’s probably why my interest in blogging has significantly decreased. I ended up turning all the Adenomyosis blog post energy into my personal podcasting project, That’s Hysterical! Now, Get Out! all about my Adenomyosis and Hysterectomy journey.
As far as my ADHD, I don’t want to say I got tired of writing about it all the time, but I got tired of my ADHD writing voice, I think. I loved being able to write through what works best for my ADHD brain, but sometimes I would write a whole entry about a new technique or tool, and then as soon as I’d press publish and had to promote it, the tool or tip seemed to lose its sparkle.
I think that’s actually part of the ADHD experience, but I don’t even want to write about it too much because I’m still interested in learning more about the phenomenon of immediately losing dopamine when talking about anything, it seems like.
I think being able to be more mobile and appreciating the screen-free/non-digital life outside of work also keeps me from wanting to update my blog. Even though, as I type this, it feels so good to just type for fun again, rather than only typing emails for work and parenting stuff. I miss when my only “job” was writing sometimes. It’s why I started this blog in the first place — to enjoy writing for fun again.
But maybe I’ll get back to it soon! Who knows.
