Plan or refresh your podcast with a Strategy Session.

30-Minute & 60-Minute Strategy sessions available

Strategy Sessions are where you tell me what obstacles or struggles you're having with podcasting, and we brainstorm ideas to help you break through those to get you back to having fun and finding your Passion in Podcasting.

Examples of topics include:

  • Brainstorming your show's format and style

  • An overview of equipment that won't break the bank

  • An overview of software that's easy to learn and inexpensive

  • An overview of podcast hosting companies

  • Monetization, branding, website, artwork, social media suggestions and tips

  • Troubleshooting your show

  • Finding your audience

  • Social media techniques

  • Best podcast practices

  • Coming up with your Call-to-Action(s) and implementing it

All Strategy Sessions include a follow-up email with notes, links to resources discussed, and actionable tips. That way, you can sit back and concentrate on getting those ideas out, rather than scribbling notes through the session.

These sessions can also help you get started with your show. However, if you are looking to start podcasting from the ground up, I do not offer that service at this time, but I have recommendations for great launch coaches that can take you through the step-by-step process of starting your show. Emily did her homework before the strategy session and was well prepared with fantastic actionable tips and suggestions that I could implement as soon as we had finished the strategy call. I valued Emily listening to my concerns and offering supportive ideas to help me move forward.

Who can benefit from a Strategy Session

  • Future podcasters looking to get their podcast started right the first time. Recommendations for equipment, hosting, formats and setup.

  • New podcasters who have already set up their podcast, but just need some guidance about how to market it and gain an audience.

  • Seasoned podcasters who may want someone who can objectively listen to their podcast and give tips on taking it to the next level.

What to expect in a Strategy Session

New Podcasters (60-minute Strategy session recommended)

  • For new podcasters, one of the first questions I'll ask is about your intention for the podcast.

  • Who your ideal audience is and discuss some of the best ways to appeal to them with your show, even before you press record.

  • How you envision the show and what methods you can use to create that.

  • Setup and technical aspects, software, hardware, microphones (of course), hosting platforms, and how to get your show in different podcast apps.

  • Marketing and branding of your podcast, as well how you can incorporate it into your business.

  • You'll get an email after the session with any links mentioned and a summary of what we talked about so you don't have to do any furious note-taking while we're talking.

  • Optional: Video or recording of Strategy Session.

Existing Podcasters

  • Before the Strategy Session even happens, I take a look at all aspects of your show. (The title, keywords, episode titles, show notes, audio quality, social media accounts, and website.)

  • When we get on the call, we go through point-by-point of what you're doing right and what could benefit you and your show to reach a wider audience and help you understand the podcasting space a bit more.

  • We go through any questions you might have about your show, podcasting, equipment, setup, audio quality, show notes, etc.

  • You'll get an email after the session with any links mentioned and a summary of what we talked about so you don't have to do any furious note-taking while we're talking.

  • Optional: Video or recording of Strategy Session.

30-minute
follow-up call

(Existing Strategy Session clients only)

  • Check-in of progress

  • Answering any questions that may have come up or we didn't talk about in the initial phone call

  • Strategies for improving your podcast and outreach

  • Follow-up email with notes, links to resources discussed, and actionable tips

Looking for a more hands-on approach to podcasting?

I am so happy to be able to offer one-on-one consulting to those who are thinking of starting a podcast or who already have a podcast. However, I don’t have the time available to do a launch program at this time. If you’re looking to start a podcast, one of the best resources I recommend is Dave Jackson from School of Podcasting. He has tutorial videos you can simply buy for what you need or you can join the School of Podcasting and he will be with you every step of the way.

Not seeing what you're looking for? I'm hoping to offer group sessions and masterminds further down the road for those looking to learn and grow in a group setting. If you'd like to know more information, sign up for my email newsletter to get updates about when those will begin!
